Gals, I am taking a paint brush to my entire apartment (almost). I started with the living room, and am making my way into the hallway/entry space with the same shade of blue. Next up: My office/guest room.
What I should have done was included a before shot. But I didn't. Good talk.
I've been thinking about what color I want to splash on the wall, and I am torn between going crazy and doing a bright color or doing something with a softer tone. Here is what I imagine. And yes, I'll do a house tour with before and after shots when all is said and done.

You can still have the bright walls if you go with some neutral curtains and furniture, like creams or whites... I think you should go for it!!
it turned out gorgeous! I just painted a wall bright blue- and I think you can't go wrong with black/white curtains.
Erika - I haven't done it yet! But yes, the fantasy room I posted DID turn out well. I saw your post about blue vs yellow and I'm happy you chose blue! You should post pics : )
I think I will pull the trigger and do something bright, with neutral curtains. Once I get married (someday) I won't likely be able to get way with something this extreme. hah.
