So long, Jane

I admit defeat. A few months back, I stocked up on some Jane Austen novels, in effort to be a little more literate. But oh. my. goodness. How boring are those books? Laugh and point your finger at me. Shake your head in disappointment. I don't care. Life is too short, as is my attention span. Folks, Jane and I are just not meant to be.

Can the new Sophie Kinsella 'Shopaholic' book please come out sooner than September? Those are MY kind of books.

Hong Kong

So, I was watching one of my favorite reality shows last night and they took a little visit to Hong Kong. And now I REALLY want to go too. I would be completely out of my element, and totally overwhelmed, but what a fantastic experience it would be! Am I out of my mind? Could I handle the flight? How long is it anyways? Eeek. I’m pretty sure HK would eat me alive but it’s going on my bucket list!

Rewind

It’s Monday, folks. How did this day come back around so quickly? This weekend was awesome, with 80 degree weather and SUN. Yes, she came out finally! And I wore shorts for the first time in a while. LOVELY.

 I golfed. I took long walks around my beautiful neighborhood. I also attended a wine and cheese party. Where we locked ourselves INSIDE my friend’s apartment clubhouse. We were in a panic for a good 20 minutes. Until we realized we had the keys. You had to have been there.

How was everyone else’s weekend? What did you do?

Hello, Sun?

Can you hear me, Sun? We miss you in Oregon. We are rather tired of the gray skies and constant rain. And dangit, it’s June already! I’d like you to know that I’ve already kicked my winter jackets to the curb, am wearing sunglasses, and am sporting skirts and sundresses. So if you could please come out and play, my cold body would thank you endlessly.

P.S. If you don’t come soon, I might have to abandon ship and run off to one of the below destination spots immediately.

P.P.S My flower pots also beg for your mercy. They don't have holes in the bottom and are quite tired of me tipping them sideways to drain out the floods of water.
